Overview
NANMEI Braid is a waxed polyester thread developed for makers who want a flatter braided character and a more visually distinct thread surface. It is built from 16 very thin high-strength polyester fibers and is best presented as a flat braided waxed polyester thread for durable, decorative and technically demanding work.
What makes it different
The defining feature of this line is its braided structure and flatter profile. Compared with classic round twisted threads, NANMEI Braid gives a different visual effect in the seam and a more clearly braided surface character, which makes it especially useful when the appearance of the thread matters as much as its strength.
Handling and finish
NANMEI Braid is best presented as smooth, composed and abrasion-resistant in use. Its uniform waxing supports stable handling, while the braided polyester construction helps the thread feel durable and well suited to repeated use in both visible craft work and more practical stitched applications.
Recommended use
This line is well suited to jewellery making, bracelets, necklaces, macramé, leathercraft, saddlery, belts, sports equipment, car covers and upholstery. It works especially well where a flatter braided thread gives a more suitable visual result than a classic round thread.
Available sizes
The line is offered in three diameters: M60 (0.65 mm), M80 (0.85 mm) and M100 (1.0 mm). Spool lengths are listed as follows: M60 — 40 m, M80 — 40 m and M100 — 35 m. The colour range includes 64 colours.
